We’re two dance mums who couldn’t find the studio we wanted for our own kids — so we built it.
Love Dance Co is a boutique kids’ dance studio in the heart of Beecroft, built on the belief that movement should be joyful, inclusive, and the highlight of a child’s week — not just a stepping stone to the competition stage.
Our Story
Kara and Libby launched Love Pilates Beecroft in February 2024. We’d always toyed with the idea of dance classes for little kids. It was a natural extension of Mums & Bubs classes at Love Pilates - and we know how hard t is to find great activities to do with your toddler.
As always - there was a catalyst - that a-ha moment. Kara was looking for a dance school for her daughter, Libby started talking about all the dance schools she’s been through, finding the right one for her kids. We realised we couldn’t find what we were looking for in Beecroft.
We knew what a great studio looked like. We knew what parents actually needed. And we couldn’t quite find the combination we were looking for in Beecroft. So — we decided to create it ourselves.
Why Beecroft
Because this is home. Kara grew up here. Libby and Kara have run Love Pilates Beecroft for over two years. We know this community — the school run, the village, the families who’ve been here for decades and the ones who just arrived.
Beecroft is a tight-knit place. When something good opens here, people show up for it. We wanted to build something this community could genuinely be proud of — a second home for kids who need a place where they belong.
What Makes Us Different
Love Dance Co isn’t built around competition. It’s built around kids. We wanted a studio with the same warm sense of community we have at Love Pilates — somewhere parents feel welcome, where teachers know every child’s name, and where the goal is confidence and joy, not trophies.
We chose dance because we’ve seen what it does: the three-year-old who learns to listen to music with her whole body, the shy kid who surprises himself by performing in front of the group, the two children who become fast friends over a shared love of the same song. Dance builds coordination, confidence, and resilience — all in the same fifty minutes. When it’s done well, it becomes the highlight of a kid’s week.
That’s exactly what we’re here to give families in Beecroft.
Our Classes
We are launching with classes for toddlers and pre-schoolers as well as primary school age kids. Don’t worry - we’ve got adult classes on our radar too!
We offer the award-winning READY SET DANCE preschool program for children aged 2–5 — along with Ready Set Ballet, and Ready Set Move for toddlers as young as 18 months.
Ready Set Move With Me (18 months – 2.5 years) — For the tiniest ones, with a parent or carer in the class. A gentle, joyful introduction to movement.
Ready Set Dance (2–5 years) — The core program. Dance, sing, play. All the good things.
Ready Set Ballet (3–6 years) — Ballet foundations for preschoolers and kindy kids — age-appropriate, structured, and genuinely fun.
We are also going to be offering dance classes for primary school age kids - jazz and hip hope for term 3 2026. Please register your interest and let us know which classes you are looking for as we finalise our timetable for the rest of 2026. and next year!
